Haven't had the chance to use this on an outdoor grill but have used it in the kitchen a few times and am glad I did. If I didn't have it, I would be serving meat that "looked" well below safe temperatures! It's very easy to use, but _be sure to read the instructions for some clues (e.g. insert the needle into the meat from the side to make sure you hit the center, as most cuts require the top insert does not provide enough surface area of flesh to be read well). Well done. Very important. The writing on the device itself is too small for people my age, even with bifocals, but the instructions that came with the device work, so just have it handy if you have "old" eyes.
