I plugged them in and left my standard horns in place. The sound is not what I was looking for. I can't say they are any louder than my stock Ford Fusion horns. They have a "bright" and brassy tone and lots of volume. They sound almost like a clown horn. Also the length of the ground wire is just a joke! 6 inches right? The thickness and quality of the wires/connectors is somewhat to be expected at this price point.
