These are my favorite ones so far. I can wash them out with the hose everyday for a few weeks before they give out. These don't rip as easy as some of the other ones I have used. In fact I haven't had one rip yet. I do however have to replace them when they lose their elasticity and wont stay on the skimmer basket anymore. That's about 3-4 weeks? I am happy with that.If you aren't using socks on your skimmer basket, you are missing out. These things save on backwashes. I cut mine by way down now. These socks catch most everything. We have trees surrounding our pool and its always getting filled with debris because of it. I have to clean the sock everyday, but its better than losing the chemicals/salt in the pool by dumping it out a backwash.
