I bought these as a gift for a dear family friend. I threw them in the truck to bring to her later. I was driving down the pass with Dave, a family friend and member of the AMAZON Prime cult, when a storm hit. There was a tunnel ahead of us, so we got there and took shelter there with about thirty other people to wait out the snow apocalypse. About two hours passed and we found that both ends of the tunnel were completely closed by falling frozen water crystals that slowly encased us in a tomb of ice. As thoughts of the thunder party and plane crashes in the Andes raced through our miserable, makeshift survival camp, we gathered together whatever tools and food we could find. We quickly found that the only food we could collect was the contents of three car seats, which we threw over poor Dave's Def Leppard t-shirt, which he bought at a concert at the King Dome in Seattle in 1986 . And the only thing we could find to dig through were these spoons. After dubious thought, much finger pointing, much thought, we came to the conclusion that I lost and should have spent 27 hours digging. In the end I was able to free Dave with no sentimental upper body covering, 29 former strangers who have now become people whose faces I never want to see again, and myself with these awesome and extremely powerful sentimental spoons. Note: Excessive digging may cause minor scratches on the paintwork. It's probably better to get used to watching and judging than making a Shawshank Redemption-style escape, but potato/tomato.
