I love the camera. The HD quality is amazing. The learning curve was minimal as all the options are very easy to use. The key layout avoids using the wrong key at the wrong time. I've already used many features that I haven't used on other cameras because it's too difficult to remember how to access them on the fly (all of which can be found in scenes on the Panasonic). It's easy to change settings during use, even underwater. Most of the video was shot underwater and I am very happy with the quality and the camera's automatic low light compensation. We typically stay in the water for about an hour (that's the maximum the camera will allow anyway) and when we go out the battery drains to about 3/4. Bought a 32GB card and we were in the Caymans for 2 1/2 weeks and still had the memory of a daily shoot typically 2 snorkel trips. There are some questions about using the photo zoom shown on the monitor, but don't register for the actual picture. Also, HD Writer seems to have a bug preventing me from sending emails. This menu item just brings me to the same point as online sharing (You Tube and Facebook). Finally, I'm also concerned about the water appearing in the map/battery area. Until now it stayed on the "wall" of this docking station and it was just a few drops of water. My concern is that initially it's there (is it a broken camera?) and when I open the door it could fall onto the electronics. I even made sure it was dry, put it in the sink to soak and there was water so I know it's not the depth I'm going to dive into the water. Please reply.
