I have about 31 inches of drop and medium is just right for me. In my experience most karate mugs are a little uncomfortable and after trying this one on it turned out to be a little uncomfortable. But after a few minutes, I barely noticed he was there. The relatively soft (blue) rim around the cup seems to make a big difference. At the end of an hour and a half of training, I didn't think about it at all. My friend and I hit it a few times and I felt it absorbed the impact well and stayed in place quite firmly. I've been wearing cotton boxers/underpants under a cup/shorts (I don't know if this is recommended or not but I prefer it) and it didn't seem to affect the performance of the product in any way. I considered giving it only 4 stars because it's quite expensive, but given the quality of the product I thought it was worth it.
