Isn't it better to clone computer accessories and peripherals?

Four completed trials have shown that a 100% cloned drive does not clone a bootable or recognizable drive. the size of the partitions, but the files were corrupted and could not be recognized. Create RAW partitions instead of NTSF. I've been trying for hours to use CHKDSK to restore the latest clone but still haven't gotten a working clone. Finally throwing in the towel and setting up a return for another clone brand. Have cloned many drives using the software method in the past but thought this little box would be a dandy for easy cloning. After a few days of effort is disappointing. USB disk access in the docking station works fine, only cloning failed.
