Like most people (hell) I bought these to be able to use more than two outlets on a power strip without their cases. cover other stains. They would be perfect for this, except that on more than one of my strips the size of the male end of this connector was too unwieldy to fit even two of them on top of and below each other. For an 18 ga cable, the ends are stiff enough for 12 ga. In most cases they should work well and be very well made and packaged, but be aware if you need to place them on top of and under each other rather than side by side to validate your application.
