The roses are glued on the comb and the problem is that they are glued in the middle of the comb, not on top of the comb. As a result, they cannot hold the hair taut on their own. I tried putting my hair up with bobby pins AND THEN I used this comb to slip behind the bobby pins just to be decorative, there was no work for them but unfortunately they STILL fell out after a few moments. I would not recommend this to anyone with anything beyond VERY fine hair. Maybe this will work if your hair is very thin. My hair isn't thick by any means, but it was too much for these things. I also ordered more than one and in different colors and they are all glued the same way. It's a shame, because like I said, they're very pretty.
