Works very well, no scratches so far. I bought this for Fluval Spec V and Fluval Edge. It's also great for removing/squeezing out air bubbles from the top of the edge. Some places on the edge are difficult to access, at the back where the filter compartment covers the glass. The magnets are strong enough to make most of the coils in the jar, if they tip over they float up and I can easily reach and attach them. I had these 4 months and they didn't break or deteriorate at all.
