This belt is good looking and has a certain well-made thick look. However, I couldn't smell any leather on it. It's very hard and quite thick. If it is real leather then it is processed in such a way that its leather aspects remain completely hidden. Anyway, this is a really good belt with a decent fit. If in doubt about the size, just go for something bigger. It's easy enough to unscrew the buckle end and cut the belt to your desired size. I found the belt too feminine. No problem, I cut the belt and now it's my wife's belt. She loves it. There are many advantages here: no smell (which is a plus, since some leather smells like mold), fit, great looks, unique design.
