Review on πŸ‘£ Hotroad Lightweight Barefoot Shoes - The Ultimate Minimalist One-for-All Footwear by Jennifer Vigil

Comfortable, breathable and quick-drying

These are really great shoes for the water, especially with summer just around the corner. I like the mesh upper as well as the style and comfort. This mesh-like fabric covers most of the forefoot, while a more stretchy or spandex-like fabric covers the back half of the foot. The bottom of the outsole is made of medium-hard rubber with two sets of V-shaped holes (10 in total) on the bottom, which allows water to drain quickly from the feet to the inside of the shoe. It has good traction and anti-slip properties. The insoles are ok but can be easily replaced with your favorite orthotics which also provide arch support if needed. I'll probably leave these insoles for a few more months and see before I swap them out, there's no point in throwing them away now that they're so new. I believe there is a layer of fiberglass like material underneath the insole to protect your feet from punctures from holes in the somewhat thin underside of the sole. I wouldn't say they stop nails or similar sharp objects, but they should protect your feet from some sharp stone edges, for example. In any case, I feel better with these protective underfoot layers than without. All in all, very cool to wear, especially when doing water sports or just lounging around the house, easy and convenient to carry in the backpack, quick to dry, and not forgetting that it is comfortable to wear. By the way, the small rubber tabs on the top are also very useful to tighten or stretch the opening or cuffs to make them wider and facilitate the slipping of the feet. The price is also reasonable!
