Soft mat. Great size for a narrow 1/2 bathroom. The bathroom it was installed in gets a lot less use than our master bathroom on the first floor of our home. It fell apart after a year and a few months. It has also been used by adults and cleaned regularly. Very dissatisfied with this purchase! Will not reorder!
