I folded the clips back a little so they fit over my Fire -Fit tablet holder. I think without the lid it would fit even better. I don't think they even sell this case anymore; It's designed to hold a Fire tablet in a mount that keeps it charging while streaming video. I was afraid the strap might interfere with the on/off button, but it doesn't. It's also not thick enough to prevent the tablet holder from connecting to the charging bar on the back of the holder. Because the strap runs diagonally across the back, I find it a little harder to hold on to, but if you held it while standing it would be comfortable. Since I hope my tray is on the left side, a short glue stick works best for me. But it's nice to be able to put my hand on my back, which is why I have both straps.
