Personal trainer here. 🙋‍♀️ You are amazing. ^_^ I didn't want to get a pair of rock climbing shoes, if possible avoid them, but due to scar tissue on my ankle and limited ankle mobility, I had to get a pair for squats. My physical therapist recommended them to me because they have minimal lifting, are lightweight, and are just looks. 😍 I am very happy with my purchase, I use them a few times a week and they only feel/look nicer when I break them in. Highly recommended. They're a bit small, but I'd order your normal size rather than a plus size - they should be snug (not pinch your toes) so your feet don't slip in. The further you progress on your ascent, the more you'll appreciate the slim fit. 👌
