I used to try non standard cables that were recommended to me (5 stars, best choice) but now I don't. I'll stick with Startech cables and cases. I have yet to return the Startech cable, be it Display Port cable, USB-C cable, USB adapter cable, etc. Startech cables are USB certified. This is very important when choosing a cable.
