Lightweight, compact and inexpensive. I just needed to transfer information and data from old floppy disks from previous computers to a flash drive and/or to the cloud. Sometimes the message "Insert disc" or "Drive not formatted" appeared when there were clearly files on it. I would put it back in the old files and they showed up fine, so I'm not sure if this drive didn't always recognize the old floppy disks or if the reports were buggy (sometimes I got it to read the disk). However, it worked and I was able to update the old files to the newer format.
