I bought six different types of doorstops for heavy heavy doors, these were the best! Why - 1.) Very low profile: fits in the small gap between the floor and the bottom of the door, but ALSO fits under the gap (large gap between the floor and the bottom of the door) 2.) Hard rubber floor (also my stage name). DON'T slip on the old tile floor. NOTE to users: Install the doorstop, then pull the door (gently) towards you to 'hook' the ribbed rubber doorstop at the bottom of the door. Consider door/floor issues when choosing a doorstop to purchase. . Low ground clearance? Looks? (They're not particularly pretty, but they do their job where nothing else could.) Tile, stone, marble (unless your floor is black or dark grey, consider painting it - not sure), coated carpet? Much luck
