I really like this router. I recently bought a used router (no install CD) to replace a burned out one (it was a great router btw). When it arrived I initially had trouble setting up my secure home network on my Windows 7 computer as it would not accept the PIN which was on the bottom of my router. It turns out that the previous owner(s) changed the PIN. If you buy one of these used without software and it doesn't accept the manufacturer PIN and you want to set it up without making full use of the router's built-in browser software (because you don't want your information to be backed up over the home network). everywhere on the internet). Navigate to a web browser page directly from the router settings on your computer and act as if you are about to set up a secure network. On this page (in detail) you can see the new PIN created by the previous owner. You can keep this PIN or create a new PIN. Whatever you decide, once you've received this PIN or a new PIN, click in your browser, go back to network setup on your computer, and enter the new PIN. He has to accept it and you can get out of there. This method works on Windows 7 and 8 computers as far as I know.
