I am an older woman, I love hoop earrings all my years. My earlobes are thinner and the heavy earrings are too tight for my liking. However, only real gold can be left to sleep comfortably in and be worn for many days/weeks at a time. It's getting harder and harder for me to thread infinity rings, also I bent a pair :( So I searched by dimensions, carat and weight to find this pair. They fit my thin earlobe just right, not enough to tie it , look just perfect , there is no gold and leather in between Just a fastening in the usual place of the middle lobe Worn constantly since purchase more than a month ago, in shower soaps, lotions etc - when I inserted them and snapped the clasp , I was then able to tell it was a secure lock and I've had absolutely no problems and don't expect anyone to reply if anything happens.
