ChiaoGoo is the only needle brand I know of that uses a 60 inch circular needle. They are perfect for large projects like bottom up triangular shawls, large circular shawls, throws and large baby blankets and they are long enough that you can loop large items like sweater sleeves on these needles. . . The ChiaoGoo Circular Needle Connecting Cable has no "memory" - it "does not remember" when it has been twisted and straightens up smoothly and smoothly - this feature alone makes these needles outstanding. The cable is also very flexible. These are stainless steel needles and I like the long taper on the ends. The project I was making required a needle size I didn't already have in ChiaoGoo and had to use the Boye set I had. I immediately noticed the difference in score. The Boye set's shorter taper and taller tips drove me nuts. The smooth, long taper and thinner tip of the ChiaoGoo needles slide easily into the stitch, leaving enough room for things like knitting three, four, or even five stitches together, or sssk or whatever. The cables attach to the tips in such a way that the needle has a smooth little conical flange that opens onto the cable, allowing the yarn to slide easily from the cable to the needle. These are the most "unobtrusive" needles I've ever used. I am in the process of replacing all my circular knitting needles with ChiaoGoos.
