The strap looks and feels very durable. The buckle looks a little cheap, but that's to be expected given the price of this belt. What is frustrating is that this strap is very tight to wear; resulting in several (in my case 5) very deep folds. It took me almost two hours to smooth out the wrinkles, I had to heat treat them with an iron, rub them with coconut oil and then press them with pieces of wood. Three hours later, the wrinkles were mostly gone but still visible. If you are not willing to work the belt to get rid of the creases, you can look elsewhere for the belt. All of this could of course have been avoided by rolling the strap instead of folding it, but I think it would take up more space. Be prepared to get your hands dirty to use this strap.
