For a cheap mixer with 3 speeds, this is simply great. The low speed is quite high if you want to mix dry flour powder with liquids - expect flying dust. I have found that stirring the mixer (off) just a little helps to start the mixing process. Then I turn it on low and give the bowl a quick stir and the mixture blends together pretty quickly. Make sure you put the whisks in the right holes. A whisk with an additional metal ring is inserted into a larger hole where it snaps into the hole. Before you turn on the mixer, make sure each whisk is engaged or you'll lose it flying out of the mixer. Very easy to peel with no center stick and your dough won't get caught between the wire and you have to scoop it out like old fashioned beaters. It makes quick work of Angel Food Pies, beats egg whites well. Made a cookie and it came out smooth and light. I would recommend it to anyone who needs a hand mixer that is relatively lightweight and easy to use.
