Review on Farberware 6-Piece Professional Mandoline Slicer Set, White and Green - includes Storage Case by Whitney Jones

I love using fresh vegetables in my cooking but I really don't like chopping them. It takes a lot of time and I'm really not the best editor. So I decided to invest in a Farberware mandoline slicer to see if it would make my cutting job easier. There are many mandoline slicers out there, but I chose this one for several reasons. The first thing I liked was that everything is neatly and compactly stored in one block. This is important to me because I don't have a lot of storage space in my kitchen and I keep losing loose parts of kitchen utensils. Everything is in one place with this Farberware slicer. And secondly, I like that everything you cut is neatly stored in a container under the food slicer. I know that with a lot of Mr Mandolin slicers, the food just gets spilled over the counter. And at first I thought the storage bin was too small to hold everything it cuts...it isn't. The few times I've used the slicer, I never filled the container. The Farberware mandolin slicer is a very functional tool. It slices you up quickly and effortlessly. And the thickness of the slices is constant... I've never managed to do that. I especially like the grater. Now there's no more parmesan on my counter. Cleaning the slicer is very easy. Just rinse the blades...wash the body...and put it all away and you're done. Be careful with the blades though, they are very sharp. I am very pleased that I purchased the Farberware Mandoline Slicer. It works well...neatly and compactly stored...and easy to clean. I recommend it.
