This vacuum cleaner exceeded my expectations. It's easy to switch from carpet to rugs and tile floors, and there are no settings to change. The only problem I had initially was when I accidentally hit the edge of the fringed rug. He stopped immediately when the fringe was caught. I had no problem moving it off the edge and restarting, and learned to stay off those edges. I've never had a shelf that was so easy to use under a full bed. This vacuum goes under the bed easily and allows me to sweep the entire area without hurting my back when trying to move the bed. The suction power is high with both advanced filter bags and regular bags. Assembly was easy. All I had to do was unscrew the two screws on the back along with the plastic protective piece, put the handle in the hole and replace the screws. This commercial Oreck changed my mind about upright vacuums and I'm so glad I bought it.
