At first I was a little concerned I might have made a mistake with these replacement toners, but it turned out to be user error on all fronts! Some installation tips so you don't make it the same error: 1. Don't overdo it with shaking the cartridge, just shake it lightly2. Shake it BEFORE inserting it into the drum unit. I made this mistake and flooded the entire side of the photoconductor drum with toner and my printed sheets ended up with a nice black line! If you accidentally do this, you can clean it by wiping the drum roller. But it's a bit of a hassle as you have to spin the reel a few times to get it all out. In terms of quality, as others have noted, this toner is actually darker than the original. One thing I haven't figured out so far, probably because I wasn't looking too closely, is that if you have a mix of graphics (including tinted bars) and text, you need to select GRAPHICS mode for printing. Leaving it in text mode will result in uneven shading/hatching in the shaded areas of the page and since the toner is darker any dark graphics will become saturated and you will lose all detail. Use TEXT mode only when printing plain text or all black graphics/lines. I would definitely buy this brand again as it is a quarter the price of brand name toner. You can literally buy 4 packs for about $10 less than branded toner.
