Review on MAXXIS Bravo AT-771 265/60 R18 110H summer by Stanislaw Buzala ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best I ever used, recommend it to everybody.

Rubber used on 2 cars - 4runner 265/65/17 and Rav4 235/60/16 Before that, 4runner had Michelin latitude cross AT, Rava had Bridgestone AT967. So the description will be comparative. Michelin did not understand at all what everyone was praising for. In addition to the tread pattern, she has nothing off-road. Sidewall like a highway. Somewhere in the forest, apparently, I caught a branch, didn’t let it down, nothing - just on the track when overtaking, when the pressure on the rear wheel passed, it broke in layers. Thin tires and all. Breeches - skated 50 thousand, 3-4 warm seasons. After the second wear is already significant, it is dangerous to drive on a wet road. But the first 2 years were very enjoyable. Maxes are the same experience on both machines. The rubber is soft and quiet. Michelin, perhaps a little quieter, but not much. Again - I don't consider it an AT. Breeches are much noisier and heavier. At the same time, I didn’t notice a difference in strength - I drove through stone passes with minimal etching, I don’t really reduce the speed in areas with asphalt removed. The only thing I caught screws in the breeches a couple of times, but this is more of an accident. The big discovery was the use of Maxis in this snowy and frosty winter. After the last snowless decided not to change tires. Although a supporter of spikes and always ridden on spikes before. So, the quality of the rubber is excellent. It is as soft as in summer after only 5-10 minutes of driving. At the same time, it rides better than spikes on porridge and snow (rebuilding, straight lines)! Of course, it is useless to compare braking, so distance and discretion decide. But despite the fact that in Hong Kong the porridge does not linger for a long time - they are poured with reagents, and on asphalt it is much worse on spikes, I think that now I will leave the spikes only for some long winter trips.

Pros
  • Softness, silence, strength, versatility
Cons
  • Nothing to even complain about.
