I wanted something that would complement my decor, not take up too much space and keep the water warm for the time being flow. It does the job. The gooseneck takes a little getting used to, but it really helps control the fill. I don't like that it stays on all the time. You have to disconnect it from the network for it to turn off completely. But it's nice to have a "stay hot" option - it's two hours but can be reset to stay longer if needed. The handle is well spaced from the surface which is great as like all kettles it feels hot on the outside. Have a pot holder or kitchen towel ready just in case. Also fixed parts. Doesn't look or feel cheap. I really like the matte finish.
