My spill-proof cups have never been cleaner! It cleans and sterilizes silicone really well! It's a great disinfectant for anything you can put inside. It doesn't wash most dishes; Can he wash a very short small pot? Or a small egg pan with saucer and small bowl. If you're getting this for anything other than baby products, it may not work for you. However, if you know parents, I highly recommend this product to everyone! I've spent years sterilizing bottles, this machine does it in less than 2 hours and I wish I'd known sooner. It gets into ALL the cracks you can't reach. And those bumps that appear when the rubber starts to wear are just gone. It's like buying a new leakproof mug! I recommend it to all nannies.
