Wide range of grades and thick enough to survive dropping or leaning on this strength - I have smaller needles made of the same material but only 2 have survived your carry bag on sudden inspiration but they are not suitable for finer work as they may have small snags that will ruin expensive threads or materials. They even catch some of the "strings" I use for heavier items and can mess up the texture if you're not careful. I mostly save them to put in my bag in case I have a minute to practice a new stitch on unimportant yarn or cord. An inexpensive trial kit to see if you want to learn to crochet, but the smaller sizes break too easily and are frustrating for a beginner! At least that's how it seemed to me.
