With a 27" monitor, this mount raises the screen enough that I can put my laptop underneath and use two screens upright (which actually works). good for switching from screen to screen). I use two pieces of 3/4" plywood (3x10") above and below the mounting table to clamp it in place to distribute the clamping pressure.
