How do I remove the fork from dried food? How do you get lime stains out of glass if you don't clean it every time? You have several options. A sponge with a cleaning pad on the other side is fine for some things but can be a little rough. How safe is a sponge? The Magic Eraser does a few things very well, but it can remove a layer from what it erases. Scraper brushes have been known for a long time, probably because they are quite easy to make and effective. I've been buying white brush style brushes for years. They are very cheap, a few dollars, and sometimes remove some stains. After a few months, the bristles will break and fall off, but they're cheap. A few years ago I bought a brush with bamboo bristles for 2 or 3 times the price of a plastic brush. But it went on and on so I was sure it was cheaper. After about 3 years, the bristles simply break off on one side. For dishes, the best brush for me is a fairly large head with a round handle. You get great leverage with this brush. Many brushes have long handles. This makes sense for glasses or jugs. They work, but the force is not aimed directly at the pot or pan. You want bristles that don't hurt when you use force to clean things. Twice the size of a handle brush, this brush is great for cleaning large pots or sinks. The largest brush is designed for a bathtub with two bristle sizes. I really don't know if I want to keep these two little brushes on the sink all the time and I think the long handle is nice for hanging. The large rectangular brush has very heavy bristles. I could see this can be used to remove mud from hiking boots, not to clean a pot. It's hard to tell if you want a set. They need to be stored somewhere, although one of them is an interchangeable head and can be put in a closet. I wouldn't use a large dish brush. What remains is the long-handled brush and the short-handled version. You really have to decide if this set is right for you as there are many brushes that you can buy individually. These brushes say a lot about the dark side of plastic. Plastic is too simple and often too cheap. It just doesn't work that well for a lot of things. I don't know if this set is perfect but the way they are sorted gives a lot of good options.
