After searching and searching for a lightweight, portable, sturdy and foldable playpen, this is it! I had to toss our previous playpen. It was a plastic one with snappy hinges. I’ve broken 4 hinges already with sharp plastic edges exposed. That had to go and this dripex playpen is a god-send! Reasons:1. It’s so easy to assemble. You line up the 90cm bottom tube and 90cm top tube with the hinges sticking out on the same side, put in the vertical tubes to the bottom tube until they click (they’re all the same), slide the mesh panel into the side tubes (We had the zipper side facing out instead even though it looks a bit tacky but it’s for practical reason so our curious son won’t be playing with them.), close both zippers around the tubes. Panel done! And you do the same for the 92.5 cm panels. You’ll have 4x 90cm and 4x 92.5 cm panels.2. The hinges are movable hence the whole thing is foldable without taking everything apart! Dream come true! So after you got all the panels, you just connect them however way you want it. The switches are all on ON position, meaning locked. If you want to make them movable because your space is limited during assembling, simply slide the whole plastic latch UP (it’s spring loaded so you’ll have to pull it up, there are also horizontal grooves for grip) and simultaneously slide the switch to the OFF position. Some reviewer gave it 1 star because s/he didn’t know how to operate the switch. Too bad.3. Sturdy. Even without the suction cups. Because you can lock the hinges, they’ll be stiff. I tried to wiggle it around and even used it to get myself up. Sturdy.4. Zipper doors are there so you won’t break your back getting your kid out the playpen. It’s a far stretch to expect your kid willing to crawl into the playpen by himself lol at least mine won’t.5. Lightweight. I love mesh panels. Way better than rigid plastic that’s heavy and can have broken sharp pieces. The only danger I can foresee is the non padded vertical tubes that your kid can hit his head on. But what kid can avoid minor head injury when they’re learning how to crawl or walk…The only con is the price. You can get a playpen for under $100, like my old crappy dangerous one. I wish I spent more money and did more research the first time so I don’t have to waste $100 and waste resources to make the plastic that’s going into the trash! Spend on this good quality and versatile playpen and you don’t have to buy another one.
