I like the UltraTrainer. You are of great value. I have taught a few thousand students using the practice kit. They are all very helpful. The device appears to be very durable and much better quality than the Red Cross AED trainers. They use universal spacers that come pre-assembled, which I like. The design flaw is due to the placement of the sensor on the shims, they put it dead on the shims. I use professional Prestan adult, child and baby mannequins with feedback. For infants, the transducer is placed directly over the spinal cavity on the back of the infant manikin. The contact sensor will not function properly if placed over an indentation in an infant's back where a back pillow should be placed. Some students are angry about this. I would say almost 1/3 of my students struggle with this. If the pad sensor were moved to the side or maybe a dual sensor it would make better contact with the infant and perform much better overall. I would recommend this AED trainer as is. If they modified the pads to work better/easier with their baby mannequins that would be perfect.
