I'm not a gamer but I use my laptop all day, every day for work. Normally, the desk under my vents gets very hot from the heat from the computer. This product directs hot air away from the computer. The adjustable fan allows you to decide at what height the fan runs. I played around with the setting and set it to about 1/4 power so my laptop doesn't get cold while I'm working. There is fan noise, but it's quieter than other house noises around me. This product will find many uses. In fact, I'll probably buy another one for my son.
