I have been playing golf for 36 years and have moved away from markings in yards over the years. I was appalled and upset at the use of these devices in tournament play. It looked like cheating at best, or at least laziness. Well I guess I'd have to give up and join the 21st century if R&A really let them do it. So I took a bite and started buying one. My knees aren't what they used to be, so cutting back on steps is important. (To this day I'm still doing 18 holes) So reviews of this unit have been limited, but rarely do you find reviews that claim 100% satisfaction. But this particular product had a full list of my wants and desires and also had a $30 price cut coupon, putting it under my $100 threshold. So, as we speak, it's charging to 100% from USB, and I'm looking forward to starting measuring known nearby distances tomorrow. Too cold for golf at the moment but will be fun to test accuracy. My only limitation is the origin and the reduced price. But who said well-known brands that cost over $300 aren't fundamentally the same. But only with a sticker representing a well-known licensed brand. We'll find out together when I report on its accuracy and later durability. That's it for now.
