This toy has provided many hours of family fun. I love sending my two kids outside with these bats and a ball because they will play together for an hour or more and have a great time. I will say that the ball is held very tightly on velcro. The advantage is that it is very easy to catch the ball on the racket. However, my 5 year old sometimes has trouble getting the ball off the racket. In addition, the ball began to tear in several places, because it takes a lot of effort to tear the ball out of the casing. I assume that we will be ordering new balls soon. However, this is a small price to pay for such a pleasure. This toy is great to take to the beach, picnic or park. It's very portable and a lot of fun.
