These bags are thick enough to temporarily hold the litter box and litter while you browse it. At around $5 a box, that's good value considering you won't be using as much as the base liners. They are very easy to use as you simply fold the tops over the sides of the plastic pull out bin. But they don't hang by a string; they are not flavored; and if even the smallest amount of urine leaks out of the pan, it will stay on the plastic and stink! So I think that while the plastic liner does what it's supposed to, the overall design of the Catit bowl is flawed, especially if you have multiple cats that are pretty messy in the bowl.
