We have contacted the seller with these questions. They are working with us to find a solution to this problem. We recently installed this item and have used it a few times with a few issues. The winch keeps stopping and restarting when pulled up with the wireless remote control. When I use a free spool, the winch is released and the cable turns into a rat's nest, forcing it to tie. I am aware that I have already passed the return date because I did not use this product immediately after purchase. UPDATE After the seller was sent a video of the problems, he sent a new winch. The stopping and restarting issue is gone, but the tether still turns into a rat's nest when using a free spool. Overall the seller was quick to send a replacement and for a winch I will only use once I might buy it again. .
