I like this fire pit mat and would recommend it to anyone who has a grill or outdoor fireplace. It protects my deck from heat, embers, and food drips. I also feel safer knowing that it’s there and I won’t accidentally set my house on fire.The surface is nice and textured, but the mat is lighter than I expected. The edges sometimes flap up in the wind. It still does its job though. It’s a little smaller than I thought so make sure it’ll fit under your whole area. Also if you use it on grass, the grass underneath will die.Overall this is a great purchase for anyone who has an outdoor fire appliance. It keeps you and your deck safe and provides peace of mind.
