I like this little box. My teen daughter, like most other teens, occasionally has trouble following through on responsibilities. As a consequence, we lock her cell phone in this box until the situation is righted or for longer if we choose to, depending on the infraction.The box sits on the table, locked, as a pretty pink reminder of the consequence of irresponsibility.The box is big enough to easily fit her iPhone 7. I think any normal sized smartphone would fit. Notes and tablets would not. There is a little removable tray inside that we don't use but that would be perfect for jewelry, coins, etc.The only complaints I have are that the lock is mildly difficult to lock into place, and the slits on the keys themselves that the keyring slides into are not wide enough for a standard keyring, so the key sits all wonky on my keyring. I suppose you could keep the keys in a drawer, but a testy teen/ whomever you're hiding things from could find them.Overall, a nice little lock box. Certainly not indestructible, but a nice deterrent. Keeps the honest, honest!
