These are excellent primary colors and this product is very easy to use. These are highly concentrated synthetic liquid dyes that can be used alone or mixed to create interesting custom colors. By carefully mixing these colors you can achieve a unique tie-dye look and they are great for creating exciting layered looks and effects. Most soap dyes, especially synthetic ones, can be added before the soap is poured into molds if a cold process recipe is used. Note that the lye is still active during the initial cold setting phase and may alter some synthetic dyes used in soap making. This isn't necessarily a problem as long as you understand that colors can sometimes be slightly different than expected. What I have found with this product is that they are synthetic dyes made specifically for soap making and are therefore more stable - they don't tend to change as much and retain a more accurate color.
