Review on Toms Maine Strawberry Anticavity Toothpaste: Naturally Effective Oral Care by Nathan Hawkins

I have been using this toothpaste for many years on the recommendation of my allergist. I have terrible food allergies and this WAS ONE OF THE FEW toothpastes I could use. I received my order and started using the toothpaste straight away. I noticed a slightly different taste but it didn't occur to me that they added lemon juice, orange juice and mango juice without changing the label. I have a severe allergy to citrus fruits. I started getting horrible blisters and sores in my mouth, on my cheeks, on my lips, on the top and bottom of my tongue. It's very painful! I have so many allergies that it took me a while to find the culprit. I couldn't think of anything else, I ate or drank and finally looked at the "Inactive Ingredients" on the toothpaste. I am so upset, angry and disappointed that a company like Tom's of Maine would do something like this! And for what purpose? Luckily I can get a refund but basically it means nothing to me. I wish I could go back to those weeks where I was in pain and couldn't eat anything instead. Tom's of Maine - They have a reputation for producing "healthy" food. Nowadays there are many people with multiple allergies. Before making such a big change, how about leaving a comment on your product? Attached are photos of the old and new pipes front and rear. If you look, the only difference on the front is that the words "Stupid Strawberry" are green instead of blue, and in very small letters "With real fruit juice!" with an arrow pointing to the STRAWBERRY image. I need to report this to my allergist and all my friends with food allergies and I hope you feel ashamed for hurting loyal customers who have been addicted to your product for years. Yes I am angry! I am now looking for another toothpaste that is free from citrus fruits, any kind of mint or cinnamon and also does not contain the preservative sodium benzoate or benzoic acid.
