Shelly makes a whole range of home automation products that use WIFI to automate lights, switches, RGBW strip lights and other devices. Almost all of these devices are designed for use by professionals or electronics hobbyists, not the average home user. I think it's great because they make it easy for me to do some of the things I've wanted to do, but I want to point out that they're not for everyone. All of their devices are quite flexible but may require a bit of effort. B. by additional cabling. They have built-in web servers, which is great because it's easy to set up and update. And they work over WIFI instead of Z-Wave or ZigBee, which I like because I already have a large and stable WIFI network and I'm tired of playing around with those other protocols to get them to every corner of the property. You can control all of these devices directly via the built-in web server (which you probably don't want to do), control them via the Shelly cloud app (which you may need), use Google or Alexa (which you probably want to do), or control them locally manage with Hubitat (which I do). They're inexpensive, proven reliable so far, and have sensitive radio subsystems, so I can get good range even in problem areas. I highly recommend them.
