I do a lot of crafting and thought these might come in handy from time to time if you are specifically thinking of working with hot glue. However, I have a more permanent and mundane thing that they come in handy for and that is plastic bag rage. By that I mean when I'm trying to open a plastic bag that's been tightly squeezed and I can't separate the plastic pieces. They work FANTASTIC at it and it goes from frustrating to just plain fun. I have rolls of kitchen bags that I fall back on when there is nothing else to use, simply because the bags are rolled up so tight that it takes me an inordinate amount of time to separate the layers to open the bag. Now I'm not scared at the thought of using this or that bag. It might seem like a small thing, but it really annoys me. With them, that's a thing of the past. There are different sizes and lengths and I just had to find the ones that best fit my index finger and thumb (for opening pockets). I find that shorter protectors fall off more easily (but are easier to put on), while longer ones are more stable after donning but are a bit more difficult to put on. It's worth it for me, and even if I only use it to open bags and nothing else, it's still worth it. Another thing they will come in handy for is for those who have intention tremors or fine coordination issues. They will most likely need to wear shorter caps because they are much easier to put on, but I believe this will also help them maintain their independence when opening packages. the ones I use in one of my kitchen drawers so I have them all on hand in whatever area I use them most at the moment. I thought it would be handy, but had no idea how useful they would be for everyday tasks like opening pockets. All bags. It is great! Thank you for reading.
