/4" and 1/8", it will be much easier for people to bring their own earphones or connect to different sources without worrying about getting enough of the appropriate adapters recall. However, the killer feature of this amp for me is the mono mode. Stereo Switcher: I often feed my mixer a headphone mix from a mono aux channel, and I like that I don't have to keep track of any special cables to make this work. This provides fairly decent gain even for headphones with large drivers, although the top quarter of the volume range doesn't seem to add much. USB from say a laptop, in many cases this will introduce *a lot* of hiss and hiss into the headphone mix, especially if the laptop is also the audio source. I tried it first before using the included AC to USB adapter and I almost repackaged the thing and sent it back because the hiss was incredibly awful. But a little power isolation from the source via the AC to USB adapter solved that problem for me. If you're going to risk it, make sure you test it with source *before* it matters. ;)
