I don't know if I got a newer model or what but other reviews are very wrong. The screen protector is fantastic. Better than Otterbox Defender. This case is usually my favorite case for all my phones. I usually get this case from SUPCASE and replace it when Defender comes out, but this time it was the other way around. Otterbox has completely abandoned Defender for Note8. Not only does it not have a built-in screen protector, which I prefer to tempered glass or other solutions, they have the audacity to charge close to $40 for "Alpha Glass," which is just a thick piece of plastic that's not even cut properly . Screen. I returned this horrible decision and set up this case as soon as I received it and I'm glad I did. The screen protector is thick and responsive. I can actually print with it, unlike what I've had to do with this Otterbox Alpha Glass. This is an improvement over what Otterbox has offered in recent years. The screen protectors on the last few Defenders, notably the Note7 (RIP) and S7 Edge, were so thick and ill-fitting that you practically had to stick your phone through a sweater like a nun to get a response. ;dr, don't buy the Otterbox Defender or the Alpha Glass screen protector they offer. You end up spending $80 on a poor quality setup.
