I bought this after my son's dog chewed on about $3,000 worth of furniture. It was a big gamble and I started with the cheapest furniture. I still have a lot to do but I want to share my progress. I'm still building a few pieces out of hollowtooth wood, so these photos aren't the end result. I wanted to share it anyway because it's a big difference as you can see. First let me say that I used my own technique and didn't follow the instructions fully. I used a very fine sanding sponge to sand out as many scratches as possible. Maybe. I then used a very small brush to paint the tree instead of using the end of the tube. To get a variation on the color of the wood I applied the putty in streaks and brushed to smooth it out. The flat areas are well filled, I applied three coats to the deeper indentations using this method. I'll let it dry for now and will repeat the steps one more time until I've filled in the deepest indentations in the wood. After I'm done I apply a polyurethane wood finish to the finished results, although it dries to a nice shine I want to try blending it some more.
