The shoes fit fantastic. In fact, they were a little wider than what we get through therapeutic services, making it even easier for my 10-year-old son who wears AFO to become independent. For those who don't know, AFO are ankle and foot orthotic inserts for children and adults who need extra leg and foot support. Solid construction! This is the only brand we plan to use with our AFOs! Unfortunately they cannot be used without an AFO as they are too wide, but that is to be expected. Definitely recommend!
