My UHD65 started flickering after 2000 hours of use. I spoke to the manufacturer and they weren't sure what the problem was, but they recommended turning off the Dynamic Black setting. I've also read other posts that pointed to the same possible solution. Played with the settings - to no avail. I used compressed air in the system to make sure it wasn't a build up of dust. After everything failed, I decided to try a new lightbulb. At first I was hesitant because I expected the lamp to last at least 4000 hours. After installing a new light bulb, not only did the flickering disappear, but the brightness also improved. It's funny how your eyes adjust to the slow decrease in lamp power. The new lightbulb gave me back the viewing experience I had when I first installed the system. Now I plan to change the bulb every year to keep the output high.
